Our focus is to breed cows that produce high quality milk as efficiently as possible. We strive to breed a profitable cow that produces a large volume of high component, high quality milk. Our ideal Guernsey cow is one that is of moderate size, high in components, and excels in health traits like daughter pregnancy rate and conception rate. ​Our best cows are those that calve in every year and have no health issues.

Pushing the future

Our focus is to breed cows that produce high quality milk as efficiently as possible. Sire selection is based on high components, strong health traits and feed efficiency.  We individually mate each cow using the best production and health traits sires and strive to use outcross bull that balance each cow’s  weakest trait.

We place a heavy emphasis on CM$ (Cheese Merit). Our goals are for cows to:

  • Produce more marketable, high quality milk
  • Breed back in one or two services
  • Resist mastitis
  • Hold components at peak production
  • Produce more live calves
  • Calve younger to reduce rearing costs
