Sustainability Matters

Soybean field Dairy farming is a 365-day-per-year job, but it is a labor of love – a love for the cows and the land. Sustainability is what motivates and drives us every day. We strive to continuously improve to provide nutritious, healthy food in a way that is environmentally, economically and socially better. We are always looking for new ways to improve sustainability though increased energy efficiencies, reducing water use, saving energy and lower operating costs.

Our cows are the ultimate recyclers – 80% of a dairy cow’s diet isn’t consumable by people! They take things we can’t eat and turn them into the dairy foods we love. By using human food waste and animal manure as fertilizer, along with establishing feed efficiencies, we are ensuring improved yields while decreasing our environmental footprint.

As dairy farmers, we are stewards of the land and soil – one of the most valued assets of our farm. Taking good care of the land allows us to grow our business and ensures the land’s preservation for the next generation.
